What is Freelok?+
Freelok is a platform that connects clients in Jordan with independent freelancers — including cleaners, plumbers, electricians, painters, designers, tutors, and more. You can browse profiles, book a service, and pay securely, all in one app.
How do I create an account?+
Download the Freelok app, tap "Get Started," and sign up with your email, or sign in with Google or Apple. You'll be asked for a name and phone number to finish setting up your profile.
Is Freelok available outside Jordan?+
Freelok currently operates within Jordan only. We're focused on making the experience great here before expanding to new regions.
How do I book a freelancer?+
Search or browse by category from the Home tab, open a freelancer's profile to check their reviews and pricing, then tap to send a booking request. You'll get a notification once they accept.
Bookings & payments
When do I pay for a service?+
Clients pay before the freelancer starts work. Your payment is held securely by Freelok and only released to the freelancer once you confirm the job is complete, or an administrator resolves a dispute.
Are there platform fees?+
Yes. Freelok charges a small service fee on bookings, which is always shown clearly before you confirm payment. The freelancer receives the price they set — the fee is paid on top by the client.
How do I cancel a booking?+
Open the booking from your Activity tab and select Cancel. Cancellations follow the platform's cancellation rules, and repeated last-minute cancellations may affect your account standing.
What if the freelancer doesn't show up?+
Contact Help & Support with your booking details. Your payment will not be released to the freelancer until the issue is resolved.
How do I dispute a completed job?+
Email us at freelok.app@gmail.com with your booking reference and a description of the issue. An administrator will review the details from both sides before making a decision.
For freelancers
How do I become a freelancer on Freelok?+
Create an account, switch to a freelancer profile, and complete verification by uploading a valid government ID. Once approved, you can set your profession, pricing, availability, and start receiving bookings.
Why do I need to verify my identity?+
Verification protects clients and helps prevent fraud on the platform. Your ID is only visible to authorized Freelok administrators and is never shown publicly on your profile.
When do I get paid?+
Payouts are released once the client confirms the job is complete, or once an administrator resolves a dispute in your favor.
Can I set my own prices?+
Yes. You choose your own hourly, daily, or fixed pricing for each service you offer. Freelok's platform fee is added on top and paid by the client.
Trust & safety
How does Freelok verify freelancers?+
Freelancers must upload a valid government ID, and work permits where applicable, before their profile can accept bookings. These documents are reviewed by authorized administrators only.
How do I report a problem with a user?+
Email freelok.app@gmail.com with the user's name, the booking reference if there is one, and a description of what happened. Our team reviews every report.
What happens to accounts that break the rules?+
Accounts may be suspended or permanently removed for fraud, harassment, fake identities, payment abuse, or repeated violations of our Terms of Service.

How do I update my profile information?+
Go to the Profile tab and tap Edit to update your name, photo, bio, pricing, or availability at any time.
How do I turn off notifications?+
You can manage notification preferences from your device's system settings for the Freelok app.
How do I delete my account?+
Email freelok.app@gmail.com from the address linked to your account and request deletion. We'll confirm once your data has been removed in line with our Privacy Policy.
